Qantas has prevailed over Emirates on the issue of codeshares between Emirates and Jetstar, which the Dubai carrier had resolutely resisted since before the start of the their alliance last March.
From 6 April the EK code will be placed on 27 JQ flights across Australia and New Zealand and on selected Jetstar Asia flights.
Emirates customers will have free access to the full range of Jetstar meal and beverage options.
They will also get to keep the same baggage allowances they have flying Emirates. Jetstar already offered these inclusions where other full service airlines including of course Qantas codeshare into it flights at Singapore.
